You can save money by early booking the train tickets (three months in advance).
If you arrive at Hanover Airport, an Airport Hopper service is available. The service takes you by minibus or car to your final destination in Braunschweig (hotel/accommodation) and back to the airport again afterwards. Fees must be paid to the driver upon arrival. The individual transportation service costs 49 EUR per person for one-way trip (for your reference, a taxi from Hanover Airport to Braunschweig costs about 100 EUR). The group transportation service costs 29 EUR per person for the group of two persons, 20 EUR per person for the group of three persons and 17 EUR per person for the group of four to seven persons. The Braunschweig central station (Hauptbahnhof) is situated in the south-east of Braunschweig, about 2.4 km away from the city. There are trams and buses connecting the central station with different points in the city. Take "exit to city", where taxis are also available at the central train station (on the left hand side of "exit to city"). To get to the city centre by taxi, you may have to pay about 10 to 15 EUR.

The TU Braunschweig is located in the north-east of the city centre. From the city centre, you can reach the main campus by walking within 10 to 20 minutes. If you use public transportation, you can consider some tram or bus stops around the main campus as follows:

The tickets can be bought from the drivers. There is also a Braunschweig Verkehrs AG booth in front of the central train station where you can find more information and buy tickets to travel with trams and buses in the city.
The 90 minute ticket must be stamped before the departure. Otherwise, the ticket is not valid. Stamping machines are available in all buses and trams.
